Recently, I've had some problems with quests which involves picking up a quest item which drops from a mob/chest etc. The problem is; if you're in a party with henchmen, the quest item is divided amongst the party just like any "normal" item would be. In turn, this may result in someone having to do the same quest over and over again to get the drop unless one is extremely lucky.

So, my game suggestion is a humble one: Auto assign all quest items that drops from mobs or chests to the group leader. Either that or give quest update to all the people in the party if a henchmen gets the loot. Or just eliminate them from the lotto all together if the item in question is a quest item..

Are you sure about this? As far as I've seen, all quest items get dropped to the ground with nobody assigned to them. Was it a specific quest - perhaps a bugged one?

I've only ever seen quest items being assigned to players. Sure the item may come assigned to someone other than a player than needs it, but they can always drop the item for the player than needs it to pick it up. Can you name a specific instance where you aren't getting a quest item because they are being assigned to NPC Henchmen and not appearing?

It might have been a bugged one, the quest I'm currently doing which has this bug/feature is called "The Royal Paper", and is given out in Fishermens Haven. I've tried about 3 times now, finally making my way there solo which is not so easy with an army of Fire Imps..

Also, same thing happend twice on one of the quests in Old Ascalon, were you're going to pick up the item from a chest not far from the Sanitarium, and on another one which I can't recall the name/place on.

However, if no one else have noticed this, it might be some wierd bug..
Oh, and of course I can't be sure that the item is actually given to a henchmen, but since the item doesn't appear, that's my guess.

while I've done the bonus for the north wall mission and the quest items are assigned to certain players.

true but if each give the item to the guy in north wall. all four pieces from 4 people still results in a bonus completion for the entire party, enven those that did not have a piece to give. all 4 pieces do not have to be give by one person at the same time in that case.

most of them are that way... as long as one in your party does it you get credit for it too. trying to remeber the quest specifically... we did one 6 times once cause we thought we needed to each have one for the quest to complete, only to find when the first guy did it we all got credit for it. I think it was blood & sweat or something like that. it was down in the falls area... anyway, most of them are like that unless they are bugged...
